I've been working with Alternative Stories on an audio drama adaptation my new book, The Keeper of Songs. Starring actress Amy Forrest, who you may recognise from Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Call the MIdwife, Keeley Lane and the music of Bella Hardy,it will be released to coincide with publication of the book, in early July. Meantime, you can hear excerpts on this episode of the podcast. Producer Chris interviewed me about what inspires my books, research for historical fiction, working through the pandemic and my indie publishing adventure! The best thing for me though, is that actress, Sally Walker Taylor, recorded audio clips from all my novels. Podcast is available on all the usual podcast platforms.

I read the audio drama interview and liked how the host and guest talked about storytelling, voice, and what makes sound scenes feel alive and real. I remember a time when I had so much schoolwork and had to complete my associate level course while juggling study and life, and breaking tasks into small pieces helped me stay calm and finish. It reminded me that steady effort brings results.
